Our Vision, Our Mission

Our Core Values

From the Principal...
WWVP
All people wishing to volunteer at school, including Farm Days, MUST have their WWVP (or alternatively known as RWVP) - this includes parents and grandparents! There is no cost for a volunteer application and you never know when you might want to put your hand up to volunteer at school so why not put in an application now so that you are ready to go when the occasion presents itself!
A reminder that when arriving at the office for Farm Days etc, you are required to present your WWVP card.

HOLIDAY PROJECTS
It was great to get some much needed projects done over the holidays. Our new basketball boards were installed and we updated the drop off/pick up lane in the car park with new signs and road markings.

TELL ME MORE ABOUT.......
Positive Behaviour Support. Our school PBS documents can be found at the end of the newsletter and are featured in every newsletter for easy access by parents.
We recently had our PBS Walkthrough led by our year students which help students to know what the expectations are in the playground and the grounds of the school. PBS focuses on showing students 'what to do' rather than saying what 'not to do.'
To help prevent issues in the playground over the use of playground equipment, our year 6 students demonstrated how to use the equipment. Below are some the expectations -

PARENT LINK
Parent Link is an ongoing feature of the newsletter. It is an opportunity to identify areas or features of the school that you want to know more about, ask a question or put forward suggestions. These items can then be addressed and answered in the fortnightly newsletter in the ‘Tell Me More About’ section.
This is an opportunity to have a say every day......not just in a once-a-year parent survey.
DID YOU KNOW?
Did you know that we have a number of Pastoral Care & Wellbeing staff employed to support the wellbeing of students?
Mrs Verbeeten is our PCWB teacher. We have Mrs Carroll as our Wellbeing Officer and Mrs Miller and Mr Izbicki working as PCWB TA's. This team provides a wide range of support for students!
Kind regards,
Niccola Pearce

Farm Festival in 2025?
Are you interested in the school holding a Farm Festival in 2025? If so, we would need parent committment to make this happen. An event of this size can not take place with out a team of dedicated parent helpers.
We would need people to take on planning tasks, administration tasks as well as operational tasks during the event. We are looking to hold the Farm Festival at the beginning of term 4.
If we can't form a Farm Festival Committee we will not be able to proceed with the event this year.
If you are able to put your hand up to form a Farm Festival Committee for 2025, please indicate this by clicking on the link below and put your name forward.
In Year 5 this week ......
My New Gallery

This term in Grade 5, we are continuing our work on “The Church” in Religious Education. First, we started researching and creating a story board about the early church in the New Testament. We then started researching about the Catholic Church in Australia. We learnt that the first Catholics arrived with the First Fleet in 1788, but the first “legal” priest did not arrive until 1803. We constructed a timeline of significant events. Our final task will be to research one of these significant people.

Rainbows Program
Larmenier will be offering the Rainbows Program which is designed to help students deal with grief or loss experienced in their family life, such the loss of a loved one, family separation or other trauma. It helps support emotional healing, develops resilience and fosters communication skills across 12 weekly sessions. All participants plus the Facilitator are bound by confidentiality but each participant can discuss with a parent what they themselves feel or have shared.
If you would like more information or nominate your child to participate, please contact Mrs Verbeeten.
