Our Vision, Our Mission

Our Core Values

C O M P A S S I O N
Be compassionate as your heavenly Father is compassionate. (Luke 6:36)
Victoire Larmenier showed compassion by seeking to relieve the suffering of those with whom she came in contact. Being open and attentive to the whole person, spiritually, physically and emotionally, we show empathy for the suffering of others and try to relieve that suffering.
From the Principal...
YR 6 VINNIES HOMELESSNESS AWARENESS EXPERIENCE
Did you know it is Homelessness Awareness Week next week?
A group of our Yr 6 Mini Vinnies participated in a Homelessness Awareness experience on Thursday after school. They brought in a box and a sleeping bag to create a shelter to sleep in for themselves. Warren, youth worker from Vinnies, joined us and led the students through a game “Cost of Living.”
Whilst Mrs Pearce, Mr Smith, Mrs Cunningham, Warren and the students were inside playing the 'Cost of Living' game, somehow all the shelters ended up in disarray and the students had to rebuild. Students found out the hard way that shelters left unattended can be vandalised or even stolen.
(P.S. it may have been one of the staff members in attendance who 'accidentally on purpose' messed up their shelters!)
The Vinnie Van made an appearance. Students learnt about the Vinnie Van service and were treated with a hot milo.

PBS - CLASS ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
Congratulations to Year 2, who, through their combined efforts at following the school expectations of Be Respectful Be Responsible Be Compassionate, achieved 250 stickers! They now get to select from one of the options below as an acknowledgement and celebration of them being respectful, responsible and compassionate Larmenier students.

UNIFORM PROTOCOL - UPDATED
As part of a cyclic process, the Uniform Protocol was due to be revised and updated, especially given our new uniform pieces. The uniform list has been present in our newsletter for a number of months, and this has not changed. The Larmenier Board and Leadership Team have discussed and approved the updated Uniform Protocol V6.1 Jul2025. Please click on the link below to view it.
Please note - we are still in a period of transition for our P.E uniform (this year and next year, longer for anyone who needs it to be longer).
Other uniform news.........Have you been waiting for the new P.E sports polos?
They will be in store and available to purchase on the first Saturday of the school holidays at the end of this term (27th September).
Make sure you purchase the right one for your child's House!

WHAT'S HAPPENING AROUND THE PLACE?
- PLAYGROUND UPDATE
Slide replacement - A new slide has been ordered to replace the broken one and will hopefully, all things going well, be delivered and installed in the last week of August.
Nature Playground (aka Kinder playground) - We are introducing a larger sandpit, getting softfall under the boat to resemble water, installing a small set of monkey bars and some new landscaping.
- REMEMBRANCE GARDEN UPDATE
We are revamping the Remembrance Garden space (where the Lone Pine tree is at the side of the car park at the entrance to the school). The space will include a space for a class to sit, a landscaped area, a freestanding metal motif of an Australian soldier, a Rotary Peace Pole, new signage telling the history of the Lone Pine tree, a handrail at the path edging, a new white picket fence and three flag poles for the Australian, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flags.
Have you read the history behind our Lone Pine tree? Click on the link to read about it.
TELL ME MORE ABOUT.......
Parent / Teacher Conferences
We have two formal Parent / Teacher Conference opportunities each year - the end of term 1 and the end of term 3. The reasoning behind the scheduling is so there is only a term between formal feedback that comes in either a written form (reports terms 2 & 4) or face-to-face (conferences terms 1 & 3). The purpose and focus of all formal feedback is to share student learning progress and achievement. Parents are encouraged to contact teachers if at any time they want to discuss their child's learning; they do not need to wait until formal Parent / Teacher Conferences.
PARENT LINK
Parent Link is an ongoing feature of the newsletter. It is an opportunity to identify areas or features of the school that you want to know more about, ask a question or put forward suggestions. These items can then be addressed and answered in the fortnightly newsletter in the ‘Tell Me More About’ section.
This is an opportunity to have a say every day......not just in a once-a-year parent survey.
DID YOU KNOW?
Did you know that our Kinder class for 2026 has now been finalised and is full? We have a waiting list not only for Kinder 2026 but also for all our 2025 classes.
Kind regards,
Niccola Pearce
PRINCIPAL

WWVP Reminder
WWVP
All people wishing to volunteer at school, including Farm Days, MUST have their WWVP (or alternatively known as RWVP) - this includes parents and grandparents! There is no cost for a volunteer application and you never know when you might want to put your hand up to volunteer at school so why not put in an application now so that you are ready to go when the occasion presents itself!
A reminder that when arriving at the office for Farm Days etc, you are required to present your WWVP card.
