Our Vision, Our Mission

Our Core Values

J U S T I C E
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for justice for they shall be satisfied. (Matt 5:6)
Victoire Larmenier was fair and impartial with everyone, even when people or issues were difficult or challenging. We uphold what is fair and decent, respecting the rights of others in a balanced and fair manner.
From the Principal...
DOES YOUR CHILD KNOW HOW TO REPORT SOMETHING AT SCHOOL?
We have introduced posters around the school to provide information to students about how they can report and prompt them to take action. We want students to report to an adult when things aren't right or something is wrong. We are consciously changing the language from 'telling' to reporting. 'Telling on' someone has negative connotations and is lumped in with other unhelpful language such as 'dobbing' and 'snitching.' Issues or problems can not be addressed if students do not feel confident or empowered to report it. Please help your child with this by encouraging and supporting them with reporting things - when things go wrong or don't seem right!

ROAD SAFETY - USING THE FOOTPATH
We have a footpath that stretches from the school around the access road and out to Station Road. To keep everyone safe, we need students and adults to use the footpath rather than walking through the carpark or walking on the access road.
Children model what they see, so this means that adults using the footpath set the example and the expectation.
CHILD SAFETY: Day for Daniel – Together, we’re Keeping Kids Safe!
This year we will be participating in Day For Daniel. It is held annually on the last Friday of October, Day for Daniel is Australia’s largest child safety education and awareness event. This special day honours the memory of Daniel Morcombe and reinforces the vital message that keeping kids safe is a responsibility we all share—parents, carers, educators, businesses…the entire community.
There will be a range of activities/lessons taking place throughout the week with the focus being on child safety - keeping themselves safe and knowing what to do in unsafe situations.
Students are invited and encouraged to wear red next Friday 31st October and to donate a gold coin which will go to the Daniel Morcombe Foundation.

NAPLAN 2025
Our Naplan results are in and they are very pleasing. Overall, we are at or above the National mean in both year 3 and year 5 and across all domains. Below are our combined year 3 and 5 results compared to Catholic Education Tasmania, Tasmanian and Australian results. Larmenier is the one entitled 'school.' If you would like to more know about Naplan or our Naplan results, please indicate this through the Parent Link option further down the page.
Key: Dark green = exceeding. Green = strong. Orange = developing. Red = needs development.
What do we do with this data? We use it to inform our Annual Plan where we will set student achievement goals for the whole school.

ATHLETICS CARNIVAL - WINNING HOUSE
Congratulations to Guilford House for winning the Athletics Carnival. Guilford won by a big margin - over 200 points in front! Well done to everyone who turned up on the day and participated. The House Captains accepted the Athletics School shield at assembly last week.

WHAT'S HAPPENING AROUND THE PLACE?
- SHADY SPACES
We have had new shade sails installed outside the Year 1 and 2 classrooms. This provides a sun-safe outdoor area for students to gather under. The year one students particularly enjoy eating their lunch here on fine weather days!

TELL ME MORE ABOUT.......
ASSEMBLY
We have a whole school assembly every fortnight on the odd-numbered term weeks - Friday 2.20 - 2.50pm in the Nazareth Centre. The School Captains run the assembly with the assistance of the House Captains. A class is rostered on each assembly to lead the prayer and share something from their learning that term. Student awards are presented by class teachers. We also have special announcements given at this time. The timetable is shared via our newsletter so families can check the date of their child/ren's assembly. All families are invited to attend and are most welcome at any of our assemblies.
PARENT LINK
Parent Link is an ongoing feature of the newsletter. It is an opportunity to identify areas or features of the school that you want to know more about, ask a question or put forward suggestions. These items can then be addressed and answered in the fortnightly newsletter in the ‘Tell Me More About’ section.
This is an opportunity to have a say every day......not just in a once-a-year parent survey.
DID YOU KNOW?
Did you know that late arrival to school impacts students' social and emotional well-being on a daily basis? It also affects their learning, their progress and their achievement levels!

Kind regards,
Niccola Pearce

WWVP Reminder
WWVP
All people wishing to volunteer at school, including Farm Days, MUST have their WWVP (or alternatively known as RWVP) - this includes parents and grandparents! There is no cost for a volunteer application and you never know when you might want to put your hand up to volunteer at school so why not put in an application now so that you are ready to go when the occasion presents itself!
A reminder that when arriving at the office for Farm Days etc, you are required to present your WWVP card.
