Principal's Message

Reflection : Gospel Value - Justice

Victoire Larmenier was fair and impartial with everyone, even when people or issues were difficult or challenging.

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for justice for they shall be satisfied. (Matt 5:6)

We uphold what is fair, decent, respecting his/her rights in a balanced and fair manner.

Staff Spirituality Day

The whole staff gathered on Monday to participate in a Catholic Education Tasmania system-wide spirituality day. The focus of the day was How to Grow in Faith. It was an opportunity to reflect and think about questions relating to our faith, engage in conversation with our colleagues and participate in prayer as a staff. We also explored the Tweeting With God app which is a great resource for educators to use to further develop our understanding of the Church’s teachings on contemporary issues and different faith topics.

ANZAC DAY

We had a great group of students represent Larmenier in the ANZAC Day march and service on Tuesday. We had 26 students from across the year levels, Kinder to Year 6 participate. Please see the photo gallery for images of the day. We look forward to growing the number of students participating each year.

Holy Week Liturgy

Today we held our Holy Week liturgy. The students enacted the events of Holy Week with respect and reverence. A big thank you to our Liturgical Coordinator Mrs Maureen Fontyn for all her time, effort and hard work in planning and preparing students for this. Thank you to the parents who were able to come along and also those that stayed for morning tea. We value parent involvement in the faith life of the school and look forward to being able to share these experiences with our families on a regular basis.

Larmenier Parents & Friends Association

The Larmenier P & F has officially begun for 2023. Last night we elected office bearers and adopted a constitution. Please congratulate the below people in being elected as office bearers for the P & F. We also thank them for accepting the nomination and being prepared to be part of this exciting new chapter in Larmenier’s P & F.

President - Daniel Comins

Vice President - Christine Martin

Secretary - Danni Moneypenny

Treasurer - Danielle Carroll

We have our next P & F meeting scheduled for 11th May at 7 pm in the Nazareth Centre, with drinks and nibbles provided. The P & F is a great way to meet and network with other parents as well as contribute to the life of the school. You don’t need to ‘sign up’ for anything but just come along meet other parents and share ideas about parent and community engagement/activities for the school.
