What's happening in Grade 3?
Victoire Larmenier died at the age of 51. We did these portraits on Larmenier Day. Victoire Larmenier was born on the 27/07/1827. She was a nun, there were two sisters at first. When she died some of her nuns built a school. They named the school after her. They helped the homeless, young and old. She died on the 16/06/1878. We wore comfy clothes and had a sausage sizzle to celebrate Larmenier Day.

Tree Planting
Tree Planting - Sustainable Timber Tasmania are making a promotional video and we were lucky to be given the opportunity to participate in it. They provided us with some native trees and came to help us plant them
Larmenier Student & Mount Esk Residents
As part of our Farm Day program, students are going to be taking some of our animals each Farm Day over to our neighbours at Mount Esk so they can visit with the residents. We can share information and stories about our animals and listen to residents' stories about animals they have had.
Farm Day - Yr 6 and Uncle Hank
Farm Day is about more than just farm animals and veggies in our veggie patch! Uncle Hank, an A&TSI elder in our community, worked with year 6 students and shared knowledge about bush food - animals and plants and tools.
