Principal's Message
School Gospel Value - Patience
Victoire Larmenier was an example of patience to all who knew her. She encountered and overcame amazing difficulties.
Blessed are the gentle for they shall possess the earth. (Matt 5:5)
In all circumstances, we persevere calmly with understanding and endurance.
BASKETBALL COMPETITION
Last weekend some of our year 3 and 4 students participated in the Regional Primary School Tournament. We had four teams enter with a mix of people who had never played before to those who are club players. Again, I am grateful that I was able to get to 7 of the games over the weekend. I enjoyed seeing our students demonstrate great teamwork as well as showing their personal best in the games. Well done to all our students who participated. We will acknowledge their participation and achievement at an upcoming school assembly on Monday.
Thank you again to Sam Milbourne for all her time and effort in organising teams, coaches, managers etc. as well as sorting all the referees for the games. Thank you also to all the coaches and managers who gave up their time to support and assist our students with playing to the best of their abilities. We are only able to participate in these types of events with the dedication and assistance of parents.
STAFFING 2024
The teaching staff for 2024 has mostly been finalised. We have one position to fill - a P.E teacher (x1 day a week). Our current P.E. teacher, Miss Spencer has been awarded an internship with the Department of Education. We congratulate her on this achievement and wish her all the very best in her future teaching endeavours. We are also currently undertaking a recruitment process for Teacher Assistants. We have several ongoing positions available. The position vacancies can be viewed at Teachers On Net. Teaching staff and class allocations will be communicated to parents via email next week.
END-OF-YEAR CONCERT
Please take note of the day and date of the End Of Year concert. Usually, the concert falls on a Friday but last year when the booking was made the Friday was not available and so it was booked in for Monday 11th December.
END OF YEAR
As we move towards the end of the year, it is timely that we practice patience, just as Victoire Larmenier tells us…..
In all circumstances, we persevere calmly with understanding and endurance.
Patience with each other, our children and yes even ourselves!
Kind regards,
Niccola Pearce
Principal
