Farm Day Dates
- 1st Dec - Grade 5 and Grade 1 (Buddy Classes)
Learning in Grade 5
This week in Grade 5 we have been learning about angles. We have learnt how to measure angles using a tool called a protractor. We have learnt the names of different angles such as right angle, acute, obtuse, straight and reflex angles.
We have also been doing Daily Reviews on topics such as Maths, Spelling and HASS. They help to improve our memory and help us to recall things we learned earlier in the year.
In Religion, we learnt about Fratelli Tuttie which is a letter from the Pope telling us how to live as a better community and to love our neighbours. We discussed ways we can follow his example in our daily lives.
In HASS we have learnt about the resources required to make products. We did a project and had to think of ways to make products more sustainable, which means better for the environment and not using so many of the earth's resources.
We have also been busy making props for the upcoming end-of-year school concert. Our classroom has been a hive of activity.
