School Gospel Value - Respect
Victoire Larmenier showed consideration, appreciation and regard for the rights, values and beliefs of all.
As often as you did it to one of these….you did it to me. (Matt 25:40)
The unique dignity of each person is held in high esteem and with special consideration. Without exception, we show thoughtfulness, courtesy and care.
Tell Me More About...
It is important for us as a school to consider and reflect upon the communication and promotion of what takes place at school. How can we ask parents to give feedback or help plan for the future if we haven’t told them what we do and how we do it? In an effort to provide the parent and school community with information that they want to know more about, I have set up a Google Form ‘Tell Me More About…’ which will be an ongoing form and feature of the newsletter. It is an opportunity to identify areas or features of the school that you want to know more about. You can put in a statement or ask a question or just tick a box. These items can then be addressed and answered in the fortnightly newsletter. Here is the link to the ‘Tell Me More About…..’ form - https://forms.gle/vSFFftehzwZrKrhN9
Do You Have A Child Born in 2020?
I have started Kinder Enrolment Interviews for Kinder 2025. If you have a child born in 2020 and want to enrol them in Kinder, please contact the office as soon as possible to book in an interview.
Purple Day - Fundraiser for Caritas
Students are invited to wear purple next Thursday 28th March for a gold coin donation to Caritas. Students are also asked to bring in their Project Compassion boxes. All money raised goes to Caritas who provide invaluable support for individuals and communities in vulnerable parts of the world. Please click on the link below to read stories about the help that Caritas has provided.
MJR Sessions with Mr Smith
Our MJR Key Teacher Mr Smith, our yr 6 teacher, spent some time this week in our year 3,4 and 5 classes introducing them to the MJR program. Make Jesus Real (MJR) is a values education resource. MJR is centred on the belief that we are all God's children and are called to try to be like Jesus Christ in the way we live. We are Jesus' friends. He calls us into friendship with God and he calls us to imitate his way of living.
Did You Know We Have Buddy Classes?
Did you know that we have Buddy Classes timetabled in on Friday afternoons each fortnight? Kinder and their year 3 buddies catch up on a day when Kinders are at school. Buddy class time might involve reading books, doing activities together or playing games. It is an opportunity for students to get to know students in another year level and it helps build a sense of community and belonging.
Buddy classes are Kinder & year 3, Prep & year 5, year 1 & year 4.
Kind regards,
Niccola Pearce
