Our Vision, Our Mission
School Gospel Value - Compassion
Victoire Larmenier showed compassion by seeking to relieve the suffering of those with whom she came in contact.
Be compassionate as your heavenly Father is compassionate. (Luke 6:36).
Being open and attentive to the whole person, spiritually, physically and emotionally, we show empathy for the suffering of others and try to relieve that suffering.
The end of the year is upon us - only four and a bit weeks to go!
As we approach the end of another busy school year, we find ourselves in a whirlwind of activities. The final weeks of the school year are always exciting, but they can also be a little overwhelming for both students and teachers.
At Larmenier, we know that the end of the year can be a time of mixed emotions for children. They're excited about Christmas and summer holidays, but there's also work to finish up and routines to adjust, although we do try and keep as many routines as stable as possible. It’s important to remember that, during this busy time, students and staff may need a little extra patience, understanding, and support.
Patience helps children feel supported, calm, and secure as they navigate these final weeks. Whether it’s helping them complete that last project, encouraging them when they are tired in the morning and reluctant to go to school, or simply listening to their feelings about the school year ending, a little patience can go a long way in making this time positive and productive.
How can parents help?
Keep Communication Open: Ask your child how they’re feeling about the end of the year. Encourage them to express their excitement or any worries they might have. Communicate with staff what is happening for your child so we can support them at school.
Encourage Downtime: With so much going on, it’s important to still make time for relaxation—whether that’s reading a favourite book, playing outside, or just taking a moment to unwind.
Be Flexible: Understand that your child may be tired or distracted during these last few weeks. Offer gentle reminders and support as needed.
Upcoming events
We have so many events still to come and this makes the above information just so important.
TELL ME MORE ABOUT...
Student Achievements - we are adding in a new regular section to our newsletter where we share and celebrate student achievements. The focus for the achievements can be from school or outside of school and are not limited to any particular domain, skill or knowledge. If you know of something that you would like to be shared with the school community, please email the office larmenier@catholic.tas.edu.au
It would be great if you could provide a small blurb and photo, or direct us to someone who can provide the information and we will source it. See the Student Achievement section in the newsletter below to hear about what great things Audrey (yr 6) and Lachlan (yr 6) have been up to.
PARENT LINK
Parent Link is an ongoing feature of the newsletter. It is an opportunity to identify areas or features of the school that you want to know more about, ask a question or put forward suggestions. These items can then be addressed and answered in the fortnightly newsletter in the ‘Tell Me More About’ section (as above).

2025 Larmenier uniform
Midfords will have some elements of the new P.E uniform available in the coming month. As previously communicated, all the items will not be available all at once. They will arrive into the shop as they are manufactured with some items (e.g. House polo) not being available until mid next year.
We realise that our P.E uniform will be a bit of a 'mish mash' during this transition period. We acknowledge that and accept it as part of playing the 'long game.'
There will be a two-year change over period where we move from our current P.E uniform to our new one. This period can be longer for anyone who needs it to be. During this time either the old or new version of the uniform can be worn.
Please find attached a copy of the updated uniform guide, which also can be found on our website.
