From the Principal...
School Gospel Value - Justice
Victoire Larmenier was fair and impartial with everyone, even when people or issues were difficult or challenging.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for justice for they shall be satisfied. (Matt 5:6)
We uphold what is fair, decent, respecting his/her rights in a balanced and fair manner.

TELL ME MORE ABOUT…
Use of the bottom oval
Why don't we use it at playtime during the day? The bottom oval is not utilised as a play space during break times primarily due to the staffing as staff are needed to supervise other areas of the playground, including the library which is open both break times. Staff are already undertaking recess and lunch time duties. We also noticed that when we did have a staff member on duty there, it was not being utilised by many students at all as they preferred to play in other spaces.
Why don't we use it for school events and parking? For school events we have found the top oval to be much more suitable site for an event due to its closeness to facilities and amenities, as well as better pedestrian access. In regards to using the oval for parking, this causes and has caused in the past, major issues with plumbing as our water mains run under the oval as well as other pipe work. Cars have also ended up bogged on the oval.
Why don't we use it as access to the school? For the safety of students, we keep the gates closed and locked. We also have some 'escapee' goats on occasion so this is another reason we keep gates closed and locked.
What's the future for the oval? A number of ideas have been put forward that would involve student and community use and engagement. We will take some time to consider our options and will then develop a plan for moving forward.
PARENT LINK - DO YOU HAVE QUESTIONS OR SUGGESTIONS?
Parent Link is an ongoing feature of the newsletter. It is an opportunity to identify areas or features of the school that you want to know more about, ask a question or put forward suggestions. These items can then be addressed and answered in the fortnightly newsletter in the ‘Tell Me More About’ section (as above).
This is an opportunity to have a say every day, not just at the end-of-year parent survey.
DID YOU KNOW?
Did you know that we have a number of break out spaces and flexi spaces? We are fortunate at Larmenier to be able to provide these spaces for students and staff to work in. Students might work 1:1 with a TA or with a Support Teacher or independently in small groups or even by themselves (in the sight of staff). Some of these spaces were created with the capital works project that took place in 2022 whilst others are part of Larmenier House and have been around for many years. The flexi spaces in Larmenier House are about to get a make-over so that they are more functional and more comfortable flexible spaces.
🎄 Merry Christmas 🎄
As we approach the joyous season of Christmas, take a moment to reflect on the true meaning of this special time in the Catholic calendar. The birth of Jesus Christ reminds us of God’s infinite love and the hope, peace, and joy that His presence brings into our lives.
It’s been a joy to see the students grow, learn, and thrive in our school community, embracing the values of kindness, compassion, and respect. From class projects to acts of charity to fun-filled whole-school events, their enthusiasm and hard work have been truly inspiring.
Christmas is a time for love, kindness, and reflection; to share in the light of Christ and to extend His love to those in need. May the peace and blessings of the Christmas season fill your homes with joy.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership throughout the year. Together, we make our school a special place to learn and grow.
I look forward to seeing everyone again in the New Year, ready for more adventures and achievements in 2024.
Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Kind regards
Niccola Pearce
Principal

2025 Larmenier Uniform
Midfords will have some elements of the new P.E uniform available in the coming months. As previously communicated, all the items will not be available all at once. They will arrive into the shop as they are manufactured with some items (e.g. House polo) not being available until mid next year.
We realise that our P.E uniform will be a bit of a 'mish mash' during this transition period. We acknowledge that and accept it as part of playing the 'long game.'
There will be a two-year change over period where we move from our current P.E uniform to our new one. This period can be longer for anyone who needs it to be. During this time either the old or new version of the uniform can be worn.
Please find attached a copy of the updated uniform guide, which also can be found on our website.
Library Books
There are a large number of Library books yet to be returned to the school.
Please ensure all Library books are returned to school prior to Monday 16th of December.
Eggs cartons needed!
As our school chickens have been very busy laying lots of eggs, Farmer Christine is in need of some egg cartons.
If you have any egg cartons you would like to donate to the school, please drop them at the school office.
Thank you!
