Our Vision, Our Mission

Our Core Values

From the Principal...
STRATEGIC DIRECTIONS AND 2025 ANNUAL PLAN
The Strategic Directions for the school 2025 - 2028 and the Annual Plan for 2025 are now published. The four domains from the Archbishop’s Charter of Catholic Identity, Learning, Leadership and Mission provide the framework and guidance for Catholic school plans. Our specific school focuses have been created to align with Catholic Education Tasmania’s 2025 Achievement Framework, using parent and staff surveys, staff consultation, the school’s response to the Archbishop’s Charter as well as student data and consultation.
Below is the Strategic Directions 2025 - 2028 and also a link to the 2025 Annual Plan below it.

TELL ME MORE ABOUT.......
Gala Day.
Gala Days are for our year 5/6 students and involves them having time away from school playing sport with their peers from other Launceston Catholic Primary Schools. They meet once a term on a Friday and have a small selection of summer and winter sports to choose from. Students can choose which sport they would like to play but are encouraged to be brave and try something new.
PARENT LINK
Parent Link is an ongoing feature of the newsletter. It is an opportunity to identify areas or features of the school that you want to know more about, ask a question or put forward suggestions. These items can then be addressed and answered in the fortnightly newsletter in the ‘Tell Me More About’ section.
This is an opportunity to have a say every day......not just in a once-a-year parent survey.
DID YOU KNOW?
Did you know we now have an ICT Device Plan in place? The plan involves keeping our devices across the school update to date and the provision of 1:1 devices for students year 2 - 6. We are in the first year of the plan and below is our current status -
Class
Kinder - half class set of iPads in iPad carriers (current stock, will be updated if needed in 2026)
Prep - half class set of iPads in iPad carriers (current stock, will be updated if needed in 2026)
Yr 1 - half class set in iPad carriers (NEW stock)
Yr 2 - full class set of iPads in iPad trolley (NEW stock)
Yr 3 - full class set of Chrome books in trolley (NEW stock)
Yr 4 - full class set of Chrome books in trolley (NEW stock)
Yr 5 - full class set of combination of Chromebooks/Apple laptops in trolley (current stock)
Yr 6 - full class set of combination of Chromebooks/Apple laptops in trolley (current stock)
Students in yr 2 are allocated an iPad and they use this iPad for the whole year. When students enter year 3 they will receive a new Chromebook and they will keep that same Chromebook through to the end year 6. By the end of the 2027 all the student devices in the school will be no older than 4 years. The ICT Device Plan is a sustainable way to keep our devices up to date and for all year 2 - 6 students to have 1:1 devices. Kinder to Yr 1 will have 1 device between 2 students as there is not the need for them to have 1:1 devices.
Kind regards,
Niccola Pearce

PBS = Positive Behaviour Support
The primary objective of PBS is to teach students appropriate positive behaviours and where needed, have strategies to improve their behaviour. The focus is to be proactive more so than reactive.
School Expectations, Be Respectful, Be Responsible and Be Compassionate, set the standard for what we expect to see at Larmenier Catholic School and what we value. These expectations are grounded and based on our Core values which are based in the traditions of the Sisters of Nazareth, founded by Victoire Larmenier.
PBS Matrix is used by teachers to teach students what is expected behaviour in various settings around the school.
PBS Flow Chart shows our approach and processes as well as follow up when dealing with inappropriate behaviour.
Full copies of the documents can be accessed by clicking on the links below the images.

2025 Larmenier uniform
As we transition to our new P.E uniform, we realise that the uniform will be a bit of a 'mish mash' during this time. We acknowledge that and accept it as part of playing the 'long game.'
There will be a two-year change over period where we move from our current P.E uniform to our new one. This period can be longer for anyone who needs it to be. During this time either the old or new version of the uniform can be worn.
Please find attached a copy of the updated uniform guide, which also can be found on our website.
